THANK YOU! $5,637 has been raised in 2025

I survived and managed to only ate a single chocolate eggie!

To eat or not to eat

This year will be my most difficult Extra Life challenge I've cooked up for myself. I will be fasting for the whole event.
Gaming is a piece of cake* — staying awake for 24 hours while fasting, though, might be biting off more than I can chew.

Some food for thought: Children around the world face serious health challenges from poor nutrition, and many end up hospitalized because their bodies aren't getting the nutrients they need. These struggles can affect their growth, energy, learning, and overall quality of life. I'll be fasting during the event, trying to imagine what it’s like for kids who face these challenges every day. By supporting Extra Life, you’re helping provide the resources, care, and support these kids need to thrive, giving them a healthier future and the chance to reach their full potential.

Hopefully, it won’t be too many cooks in the kitchen! For the first time, I’ll have a special guest joining me for the full 24 hours as we tackle food and cooking games like Burger Time and Overcooked.

Let's raise some dough for BC Children's Hospital!

Challenges

Patsy Hui will once again be matching the first $2,000 of donations as well as additional bonus donations. Donors can request me to do challenges. For every $10, you can have me do either Let it Roll or The Tower of Dice, or a combination.

Let it Roll

If you elect this challenge, I'll roll a 6-sided dice and do one of the following:

  1. Critical miss😒. I place a bowl of treats in front of me for at least 5 minutes to entice my hunger strike to fail.🤤
  2. Two dice🎲🎲 are added to the the tower.
  3. Treats for Mina🐾. The only exception for receiving treats is Mina. Three treats will be tossed to her. If she catches all three, then I get a treat myself!
  4. Childhood Photo👶. I have a whole new slew of photos of me when I was a young. I will reveal four of them together.
  5. I will make a $5 donation to makehappytummies.ca❤
  6. Critical Hit!💰. A $10 matching donation is added and the challenge is rerolled.

Tower of Dice

You can allocate $10 for a die🎲 to be stacked onto the tower.

I'll keep track each time it falls for any reason (e.g. I accidentally bumping the table too hard, at the end of the event, $50 will be added to the matching total each time it collapses. If you challenged me to stack multiple dice, and it has collapsed before I placed them all, then a new tower will start and any remaining dice will be added to the new tower.

In addition to the $50, the total value that has rolled will be added to the bonus match. Also, each number 6 will count as $10.

The fourth die to be added will be a 20-sided die. If a collapsed caused this die to roll a 20, then that will count as 50!

At the end of the event, I will manually knock over the tower and count those results.

Food violations

In addition to the $2,000 match, additional donations will be donated personally by her with a caveat. I will not be eating. If I happen to bow to my stomach, donations will be coming out of my own pocket instead of Patsy. This will be valued at $1 for every calorie. For example, if I drink a can of Coca-Cola (140 cals), I will be donating $140 and Patsy's contribution will reduce to $1,860.

Schedule

Unlike previous years, this year's fundraiser will begin at Friday 8pm instead of 8am. So the marathon will end on Saturday 8pm.

Milestones

$3000 CAD. Joanna will bake cookies for me at 3pm which I will try to resist eating during the event.

$5000 CAD. I will demonstrate cooking fried rice at 6pm. It will smell wonderful, but I must abide from the fasting rules and not eat it till the end of the marathon.
