TA Meeting
show Trevor high level detail of Program Design
- PHP form that enters data into SQL database
- discuss about authentication component
- connected clients are assigned an authentication id
- client_info
- server generates id number for client to use - each session has a different
tracking number
- PHP passes userID and pass to database and then data returned
- depending on which user_class is selected, gui for it is generated
- Java Server communicates with applet and database
- don't necessarily need signoff from Robert to be able to continue on with
program and project plan
- send off project plan and RAD to Robert
- Project Plan and RAD document handed back
Trevor's Suggestions:
- server and client side needs to be consistent
- consistent method calls required between client and server sides
- doing it in Swing and WebStart (it will install Sun's JDK)
- potential implementation roadblocks:
- socket handling could be a problem
- NO TA Meeting next week (READING BREAK)
Tasks Assignment for next week:
Aaron - responsible for writing PHP -> database module
Charles - subsystem diagram
